Say what “ten” means.
Ten copies of desk-bracket-rB.stl is one item with quantity ten. Five copies of Rev A and five of Rev B is a mixed set with two separate lines. Both descriptions add up to ten, but they ask for different work. File names here are fictional examples.
If the intended revision is still undecided, identify that design question before requesting the run. An intentionally specified comparison should name both versions and say what you want to learn.
Keep variants separate from revisions.
A revision records a change to a part. A variant identifies a configuration you may need alongside another, such as a left version, a right version or a different hole pattern. A brief can contain several variants, each with its own revision.
For each line, include the exact file name, part/variant ID, revision and number of finished pieces. Define left and right from a stated view. Add a small annotated image where a name alone could be misunderstood.
See the three-variant specification
Carry the surface priorities across every copy.
Mark the visible face, the critical interfaces and the way the part will be used. If all copies should share a surface priority or colour preference, write that once against the relevant lines. The actual material, colour and finish still need to be confirmed for the job.
Our Manchester workshop has a fleet of 20+ printers, with FDM, large-format FDM and resin printing available. Batch timing depends on the requirements of the actual request; include your required date when you enquire.
Start from the files you intend to use.
Use Get an Instant Quote for a print-ready model. For a mixed set or a requirement the form does not clearly express, contact us with the item list before ordering. CAD changes have their own design enquiry route.
