YOUR INFORMATION

PRIVACY NOTICE.

This notice explains how we use information when you contact 3D Printing Manchester, request a quote or place an order. It also explains how to ask about your information or request its removal.

Who is responsible?

3D Printing Manchester is a trading brand of Kendall Group Ltd, company number 15554380. Kendall Group Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Email [email protected] for a privacy question or request. Include an enquiry or order reference where you have one, but do not send identity documents unless we ask for information needed to verify your request.

What information is involved?

  • Enquiries: your name, email, telephone number, correspondence and the requirements you provide.
  • Models: uploaded files, filenames, geometry, revision information and supporting notes. Files may contain personal or confidential information; include only what is needed for the job.
  • Quotes and orders: selected parts, dimensions, materials and other options, quantities, prices, delivery and billing details, order references and payment status.
  • Service protection: connection and security information, such as IP address, browser/device information, request timing and security-check results, used by the website and its service providers.

The online form saves your contact details when you choose Continue to upload, before you upload a model. Those details can therefore remain on record even if you do not upload a file or complete an order. Browsing this information page does not submit an enquiry.

Why we use it

We use the information you provide to understand your requirements, prepare and explain a quote, contact you about that enquiry and, if you order, arrange invoicing, production and delivery. Saving an enquiry may create a contact record in the invoicing system; it does not by itself create a paid print order.

For an individual asking for a quote or placing an order, the relevant processing supports the steps requested before a contract and the performance of that contract. For business enquiries, correspondence and service administration, our legitimate interests are responding to the request, managing the business relationship and keeping an accurate record of the agreed work. Security information helps protect the service against abuse. Accounting and other records may also be kept to meet legal obligations.

We may follow up about an unfinished enquiry. This is not a marketing-list sign-up. You can ask us to stop enquiry follow-ups by using the contact address above. Where a separate activity relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier use.

Models and automated quotations

The quotation service reads the model geometry and selected options to calculate a price. The preview and calculated print arrangement are not an engineering approval or a guarantee of fitness for your application. You can contact us about the model, calculation or requirements before ordering.

Original model files are stored privately for the enquiry and production preparation. We do not publish your submitted model as a customer example without permission. Our public design studies are independently invented examples.

Who receives information?

Information is available to the people handling your enquiry or order and the providers needed to operate the service. These include website hosting and security, quote processing, email, invoicing, payment and delivery providers. They receive the information needed for their part of the service.

The embedded quotation service operates at app.protomolecule.co.uk. Invoicing uses Invoice Ninja. The payment route and delivery option for an order are shown in the relevant quote or invoice. Do not send payment-card details by email or include them in an uploaded model.

Cloudflare provides website delivery and security services, including Turnstile on the quote page. Its international service infrastructure may process connection/security information outside the UK. Cloudflare’s privacy information describes its handling of that information. Contact us for information about the providers and international-transfer arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

Enquiry details and original uploaded files are currently retained after a quotation session expires. They are not automatically deleted when you close the browser or leave a quote unfinished.

Retention is considered separately for the model, correspondence and commercial records. Relevant factors are whether the enquiry or order is active, whether the information is needed to explain or fulfil the agreed work, a requested repeat order, an unresolved complaint or dispute, and applicable accounting or legal record-keeping requirements. A need to retain an invoice does not automatically mean every model file must be kept for the same period.

You can ask us to review or remove an enquiry or uploaded file. We will consider the request and explain any information that needs to remain, and why. Do not rely on an expired quote link as confirmation that the underlying records have been deleted.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use or receive information you supplied in a portable form. Some rights have conditions or exceptions, including where records must be kept for legal obligations.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including enquiry follow-ups. Contact [email protected] and explain your request. If we need to confirm identity, we will ask for information proportionate to the request.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to address your concern.
